Design your own dungeon in this strategic game
Quest Master is an enthralling narrative-based dungeon crawler that invites you to unleash your creative prowess. In this premium adventure game, you are thrust into the magical kingdom of Aetheria as you join forces with memorable characters to protect the realm from encroaching darkness.
With mechanics similar to Dungeon Defenders, Quest Master allows you to craft intricate dungeons, upload them for others to explore, and challenge yourself with other players' imaginative creations. Play solo or team up in a local co-op to bring your creations to life, and share them with a global community eager to tackle your challenges.
Craft, collaborate, and defend
In Quest Master, you step into the captivating tale of Lanze, the Quest Master, as you join forces with allies on a quest to save the kingdom of Aetheria from a sinister power. You'll team up with Princess Javelyn and Shiv, the cunning Rabbit Thief, as you trek through six diverse biomes, each with unique challenges, to eradicate the corruption threatening the Aetherial Veins that sustain their homeland.
The creative aspect of dungeon-building plays a central role. With an endless canvas at your disposal, you can continuously expand your dungeons by adding multiple floors and increasing their size. Easily switch between various dungeon themes, such as sand temples, fiery caverns, or lush forests, to keep your creations visually appealing and diverse. Additionally, the drag-and-drop system allows you to place items in chests or set up scenarios with ease.
Collaborative gameplay allows up to three friends in a co-op setup. For those without companions, the use of character-swapping puppets ensures that no one has to build alone. Equipping various rings is another strategic element, offering benefits like health regeneration or improved combat abilities. Furthermore, players are encouraged to share their unique dungeon creations with fellow players. Keep in mind that the game is still in the Early Access phase.
New difficulty and improvements arrive
Quest Master’s Early Access update, Version 0.11.12, brings a wave of quality-of-life improvements and long-requested features. Most notably, players can now test their skills in the newly unlocked Advanced difficulty for the woodcutting challenge, perfect for those seeking a tougher test of precision and timing.
In Dungeon Maker mode, logs are now available for use, addressing a common player request. Unlocking them is simple: just attempt the woodcutting minigame, no need to complete it. The game clearly indicates this requirement, removing any guesswork. Visual clarity has also been improved—pressed and locked pressure plates now look more distinct, and players can easily toggle their state using the context menu. These changes highlight the developers’ ongoing commitment to responding to community feedback.
Builders and brawlers unite
In conclusion, Quest Master combines strategic dungeon design with cooperative gameplay to offer an engaging experience in the enchanting world of Aetheria. The game's flexible mechanics and collaborative options cater to an array of playstyles. Whether tackling challenges solo or with friends, the creative possibilities are boundless. Since the game is currently in early access, certain features may change before the final version is released.
